Kia ora koutou,


Welcome to this week’s edition of the Friday 5! Where we will celebrate all the wonderful on-going work at the NRHCC.


  1. The Pukekohe testing team have joined sites with the Vaccination centre. From the 21st April the Pukekohe site is now able to offer dual services for the Pukekohe Community.











2. The Workforce team have been working hard behind the scenes to plan the first Bledisloe House Wellbeing Day on Thursday 19th May! The day will be for all staff and an opportunity to take some timeout to look after ourselves during that day. If you have any particular skills or ideas or props/equipment and want to contribute, for example, massage/yoga/meditation experience; Please pop by the People, Culture and Wellbeing team to discuss further!


3. Shout out to The Fono and their Super-vaxxers delivering the good in West Auckland! Peleiupu Tautua and Toakase Taufa have delivered close to 20,000 Covid-19 doses between them since the roll-out began last year. Ka pai to our amazing kaimahi and all the work they to in our communities to support whanau!



4. From Tuesday 26th April – Thursday 28th April, NRHCC will be offering free flu vaccinations for all NRHCC staff and contractors. Protect your whanau, yourself, and your community by walking in to the Totara Board room on level 8 to get your immunisation! A big thank you to Carol Banks and Liz Boucher for being our designated NRHCC vaccinators for the week.



5. One of our wonderful Pharmacy Teams Unichem Pakuranga has been recognised as Auckland Metro’s second-best preforming pharmacy involved in the Covid-19 vaccination roll out, the team have delivered more than 46,000 doses to date! The kaimahi have been working hard to meet the demands of its diverse community during the Omicron Outbreak. This can be providing support to whanau in isolation with prescriptions, referrals and offering deliveries for medicinal needs. Ngā mihi!



And finally, haere ra to Pippi Laing from our Welfare team who will be leaving the NRHCC today. Thank you for all your mahi during your time at the NRHCC, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours!
